Turning your derelict pit into your dream home - How to Blog Day One
Day one of any new project can be daunting, but when that project contains ammunition, worms, rats, broken glass and most likely much worse, day one can make you want to run in the other direction. Luckily for me I love a challenge, so this morning stepping into my newly purchased house, finding bullets on the floor just added to the appeal. Over the next 8 weeks I'll be taking on my biggest challenge in terms of budget and time frame, with just 8 weeks to complete and a maximum spend of £35k! I will be writing a weekly blog as well as column with the Oxford Times to hopefully share with you the highs and the lows of property development. With my tiny budget in mind I will also be sharing sourcing secrets to hopefully inspire you to give your home a bit of a makeover. Here's what the house looks like on day one:
